LABC Family,

On Sunday March 15th our Leadership team met to discuss the appropriate steps needed to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus in our community.  I want you to know I have never been more proud to be in a room of men then I was during that meeting.  There was a spiritual unity that encouraged me greatly.  All the men on that team truly want to do what would Glorify God. The following are the details from that meeting.

The Key fobs have been disabled until April 13th

Rios Midweek service will be suspended until April 14th

Wednesday activities have been suspended until April 15th

Sunday School will be suspended until April 19th

The Annie Armstrong Yard Sale has been postponed TBD.

All Youth Activities have been postponed until further notice.

We also will freeze all non-essential spending.

Our Church office will remain open for regular operating hours.  The walking track and building will be closed until April 13th.  Members who need to enter the building are welcomed to do so and you can call the Church office or your Deacon to assist you.

On Monday March 16th the President issued a statement asking that for the next 15 days all gatherings to not exceed 10.  We feel it is best to honor the President’s request and we will have online Worship Service for the next 2 weeks. As of now our plan is to return to normal congregational Morning Worship on April 5, 2020 but that is subject to change.

You can watch the service online at www.labconline.org or through our Facebook page.

We want to encourage during this time to please continue to support our Church in Tithes and offerings.  You can sign up for E-giving on our web page or mail in your Tithes.

Finally, I hope that you know we would never cancel a service unless it was absolutely necessary.  This decision has been very difficult, but out of the respect of the office of the President and the desire to be good neighbors in our community we feel the best way we can serve at this time is to not meet as a congregation. We would love to see pictures from you as you watch our services from home.  This will be something to document for future generations.

Your Servant,

Pastor Randy
