Student Ministry

The purpose of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church Youth is to teach students in grades 7th-12th through the study of God’s word. We believe in sola scriptura, by scripture alone.

It is our goal to train our teens to walk in truth and obedience to the Bible, to teach them to worship and honor Christ in all aspects of their lives, then for them to demonstrate a willingness and an attitude for work in the ministry of Christ, which will then lead to an outward difference in their lives and the winning of souls to Christ, and finally this will come full circle by welcoming more teens into Christian fellowship and discipleship.

We will accomplish this by being a “Plugged-In” youth ministry. The idea stems from the simple idea that no lamp, bulb, or lantern will produce light without first having an energy source. In the book of Matthew, Christians are called the “light on the hill.” In order for our youth to be luminescent in this dark world they must be “Plugged-In” to the greatest source of energy, God the Creator.

Blessings on you and your family in your endeavors to be “Plugged-In” to God the Creator, the Holy Scripture, and a church family.

In Christ,

Mark Robertson
